Let me repeat that… There are two things people do when striving to create the life they really desire, and yet these two things don’t work! Let’s take a closer look to understand why it’s completely backwards!
Revising Our Childhood Belief Structures
First off, people often believe that if they deliberately arrange and organize their circumstances, they will have the life they want. Secondly, they figure that if they work harder, longer, and set better goals, then they’ll have the life they really want.
That’s totally backwards, but it’s what most of us were told when we were growing up! No one ever said, ‘’Hey Johnny, let’s look at the limiting beliefs, negative self-talk, and self-sabotaging behaviors that we have instilled in you’’. That’s left for us to figure out when we get older.
The Inside Job of Creating the Life You Want
We were all told to work on our day-to-day circumstances by acquiring more money, a bigger house, a better car, a different job, and only then would we have the life that we want. We believed the only way to do this was to work harder and longer.
We were taught to continually work on our outside circumstances to get the life we really want. And, if it didn’t work out, we could blame it on the economy, our company, politics, and all our other circumstances.
Creating the life you really want, however, is an “inside job.” It’s not done from the outside. And when you get the inside right, all of the things you want on the outside will fall into place.
An Inside Job Is Ancient Knowledge
An ancient text called the Kybalion says: “As Below, So Above.” Your outside world is a 100% reflection of your inside world.
My favorite saying is: “If you were already being who you needed to be, to have what you wanted to have, you’d already have it.”
Entrepreneur and motivational speaker Jim Rohn said: “For your life to change, you need to change.” He didn’t say, for your life to change, you need to get a bigger house. What he said was that you need to create a New Mind which creates a New Self.
Confucius said: “No matter where we go, there we are.” We always bring the same habits of thought, the same mind, and the same subconscious programs with us.
Try This and See For Yourself!
Go to work on the inside. Go to work on consciously and purposefully rewiring your mind, your thinking, and your subconscious programming — and you may find that you’ll be amazed with the results.

We have approximately 60,000 thoughts each day, and 90% of them are repetitive, on automatic pilot, without us consciously choosing them! Our thoughts are things. Just like a magnet has a magnetic field that attracts metal objects, our thoughts attract that which we think about. So we need to consciously choose what we think about to create the life we want
